INDIANAPOLIS –Endangered Species Chocolate (ESC) is pleased to announce that Ryan Gomes will be joining the company as their new East Coast Sales Manager. Gomes will be an integral part of the continued expansion of the ESC brand after a year that saw record growth for the company in the natural and specialty category.
Gomes has extensive background in both the natural and conventional foods industries and most recently served as an account executive for natural products brokerage Presence Marketing. He also worked as a category manager for natural and organic food distributor UNFI and has over 10 years experience with New England supermarket chain Shaw’s Supermarkets. Some of Gomes key job duties will be establishing new accounts for the brand and bringing in additional products into existing accounts.
“We are pleased to add Gomes to our sales team,” says Curt Vander Meer, CEO of Endangered Species Chocolate. “We feel confident that Gomes expertise in the natural foods category will continue our successful growth strategy and continue to develop brand awareness in the East Coast region.”
Along with hiring Gomes, the company recently added two employees to its production department and purchased a new label wrapping machine to help meet the growing demand for its chocolate. ESC is encouraged that its continued growth will help extend the company’s 10% GiveBack mission.
“We’ve seen tremendous growth in the past two years and we’re hopeful that this growth continues so that we can not only expand our brand but also broaden support for our 10% GiveBack partners,” says Vander Meer. “The more profitable we are the more we can give back and that’s our company’s core mission.”
