Rainforest Trust Day 2016

Rainforest Trust is a 2016-2018 recipient of Endangered Species Chocolate’s 10% GiveBack donations. Find out more about our 10% GiveBack Promise to wildlife conservation here. Rainforests are the most biodiverse places on Earth. But 80,000 acres are destroyed every day. Our newest 10% GiveBack Partner, Rainforest Trust, helps to protect these imperiled habitats to save endangered species from extinction. Celebrating 27 years of successful conservation efforts, Rainforest Trust has protected over 11 million acres of critical habitat by establishing more than 100 nature reserves, protected areas and indigenous territories in 20 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Rainforest Trust partners with experienced local conservationists and communities to strategically purchase and protect real acres in real places. Together, they establish permanent refuges that ensure a future for endangered species. Our #MyChocolateAcre campaign gave us a taste of just how quickly acres add up and how rewarding it is to be a part of something so big and lasting! Celebrate #RainforestTrustDay You too can join in and be a Rainforest Trust advocate. Now is the perfect time to get involved – July 23rd, 2016 is #RainforestTrustDay– a day for supporters to come together and host events and activities that show their commitment to rainforest habitat conservation. Every action counts! Head over to the #RainforestTrustDay page to get inspired and grab materials to help you spread the word. You'll also find stories about what other supporters are doing for rainforest conservation, like 9-year old Kate Gorchakov who has raised over $542 by selling lemonade in her school and community!
